How to begin again
When so much time has passed?
What used to feel so natural
Now feels distant and unknown.
When I’ve missed so many steps from then til now,
The first step of the return seems too far.
How to begin again
When the lies in my mind are swirling?
They’re telling me it’s too hard, too daunting,
That I don't have what it takes.
How can I know that I won’t end up back here again
When I lost my way before?
How to begin again?
Maybe the only way to know is to begin.
